One way to know that summer is well and truly on its way to Sydney is when outdoor cinemas start popping up around the city. It gives us a serious case of the warm and fuzzies as soon as we start thinking about the balmy nights spent sitting back with a drink in hand, quoting along to some of our all time favourite movies. Yes, we are those people.
We don’t really care what’s showing as long as it is all playing out on top of one of Sydney’s best bars (like this one), as long as the key players are all accounted for – movies, Mexican food and jugs of cocktails. We all have our priorities.
Leading the pack this year is Sweethearts Rooftop, who are putting on some of our favourite cult classics like Beetlejuice and Two Hands. Because who doesn’t love some Heath Ledger action? The films will run Monday – Wednesday, throughout September and will kick off at 7pm. Did we mention that it’s completely free? You can reserve your spot here.
After raging success in September, Sweethearts Rooftop decided to keep the good times going throughout October as well, but get in quick, because it's all wrapping up next Wednesday 26 October.
