Liverpool is a foodie paradise on the rise. To honour their burgeoning culinary credentials, the southwest suburb is rolling some of their best bites into one epic food festival this weekend called Liverpool On A Roll, for the second time this year. The concept? Basically, (almost) everything is being served up on a roll.
Let us explain. From banh mi to bao and burgers, hotdogs and more artistic carbohydrate-wrapped creations, Liverpool On A Roll is covering all bases, continents and cuisines and this is a brilliant way to experience some of the seriously delicious and diverse food on offer in and around South West Sydney.
As for what to expect, Dapto Dogs will be dishing out cheesy dogs, Chicago dogs and chilli dogs; Get Shrimped has you covered for Hawaiian-style feeds and a "Loco Moco" rice burger; Island Feast are repping Fiji with a Fiji-style cream bun; and a Bolivian "sandwich de chola" from La Kantuta. There'll be locally brewed coffee, Superior Burger's iconic burgers, porcini mushroom and taleggio cheese arancini and German bratwurst sausage hot dogs.
And there's a tonne more on the menu too—it really is an international rainbow of deliciousness.
On the sweet side, Cream’d Ice Cream have dreamt up Thai-inspired ice cream rolls in a rainbow of flavours, and Torch Me Crème Brûlée is mish mashing French and Hawaiian cuisines with freshly torched crème brûlée and a Hawaiian shaved ice mountain, that features a vanilla ice cream centre, strawberry and passionfruit popping boba and pillowy soft mochi, all drizzled with sweetened condensed milk. Crazy.
Also—every meal will be capped at $12, so for you penny pinchers out there, this is the perfect way to cop a cheap (albeit delicious and creative) meal.
Besides the spectacular food available, you’ll witness live entertainment, local produce stalls and a pop-up beer garden serving Pimm’s cocktails all night.
