If, like us, your idea of heaven involves eating copious amounts of creamy, cheesy carbs with crunchy edges, then you may want to sit down and fan yourself at the news: Brisbane is getting an eatery that’s allll about that most delicious of comfort foods: mac ‘n’ cheese. Trip to Brisbane, anyone?
Yep, from mid-late October, legendary Brisbane food truck Mac From Way Back will have a fixed abode, namely Fortitude Valley whiskey lounge Sabotage Social, meaning you’ll reliably know where to get your gourmet mac fix from whenever the craving strikes (which, let’s be real, is often). We’re talking all your MFWB faves like the classic five-cheese bowl, right through to mac ‘n’ cheese loaded fries, and burgers full of the good stuff; but thanks to the perks of a large commercial kitchen you can expect new flavours, bigger servings and more inventive varieties from the bricks-and-mortar version.
Not to mention, you’ll be able to gorge on mac ‘n’ cheese errythang while occasionally coming up for air to sip on whiskey, beer and cocktails from Sabotage Social’s excellent drinks list! What a time to be alive.
Stay tuned for more details and an exact opening date, and in the meantime you can keep up with more news on their Facebook page.
Or just go to Sydney's first peanut butter bar.
