In a very welcome interpretation of “less is more”, hospitality group Merivale is offering 49 per cent off all drinks during happy hour this June.
That’s right, we’re talking a steep, almost-half-price discount off wines, beers, cocktails and more at Merivale venues around town, from 5–7pm, every single day during June. We’ve done the maths—this means at Surry Hills' The Beresford you can score a glass of house sparkling for a measly $4.08. There are thirty-seven venues participating in this offer, from the always-good-times El Loco, the swish wine bar Ash St. Cellar, to the beautiful-people-hub also known as ivy Pool Club.
Bottoms Up, as this offer is called, replaces the hospitality group’s hugely popular March into Merivale celebrations. It’s part of the hospitality group’s awesome mission to bring some vibrancy into our city. We can all drink to that.
If you’re thinking that 49 per cent is, metaphorically and mathematically, an odd number, look to our state’s alcohol laws—forty-nine per cent is the biggest discount that Merivale is legally allowed to offer. We know, that Justin Hemmes is a bloody good guy.
What’s that, you hear? That’d be the sound of suddenly-generous Sydney-siders unzipping their wallets when it’s their shout.
More details here.
There’s also this wine and pizza party happening in June.
