No doubt, Sydney loves a plate full of pillowy goodness, otherwise known as dumplings. Coming to us in 2020 is a festival dedicated entirely to the Nepalese and Tibetan take on the dumpling—the supremely delicious momo.
Packed with flavourful fillings and typically served steamed, momos are a special part of Nepalese and Tibetan culture, symbolising togetherness and unity and all the best parts of feasting with families and friends. They also taste amazing.
And while Momo Fest has been gifting Melbourne with this day-long paradise for dumpling lovers for the past three years, it’s finally making its way up north.
The venue and list of dumpling stallholders are still to be revealed, what we do know is that you’ll be able to sample over 30 varieties of momo; there’ll be momo competitions, Nepalese music, roving performers, momo workshops and DJs on decks too.
