Pilu Kiosk is the cute younger sibling of two-hatted restaurant, Pilu at Freshwater, and soon it’ll be a beach bar. They’re closing (temporarily) to complete the revamp—we know, we’ll miss the beachside Panini too. Pilu Bar and Kiosk is set to open in March, and we promise the wait will be worth it.

The beach bar and kiosk will be open every day of the week, serving up Italian wines, Negronis, oysters, salumi and fresh Sardinian dishes. If you’re a regular at the kiosk, then you’ll be pleased to know that the espresso bar will still be very much there for you, but there will be cooked breakfast options as well, so you can really settle in and enjoy the view over Freshwater in style.

Pilu Bar and Kiosk is the beach bar Sydney’s been waiting for, and come March, it’ll be open from 7am, seven days a week, year ‘round. They’ll also be open until 9pm every night during daylight savings, and Thursday through Monday outside of daylight savings. All in all we’re calling this one a serious win.

Here's all of our other fave beachfront bars in Sydney.
