If you’re familiar with the warm and fuzzies that only come from visiting your local farmers market, you’re in luck. There’s a brand new market coming to Randwick, and guys, this one has seriously upped the ante. We’re talking a big fat ol’ see ya to the middle man, and bringing Aussie farmers straight to big smoke. In case that isn’t enough, they’ll also be donating 10% of all profits each week to food wastage crusaders, OzHarvest, who help to feed millions of Australians living in hunger each and every year.
There’ll be over 50 stalls at the produce market, including local family farms from Batlow, Young, Wombat and oh-so-many more. Every stall holder uses the same organic and sustainable farming processes, so yes, this is the best of the best.
In addition to all of the glorious fresh produce, there will also be ready-to-eat offerings from Bondi Best’s Joel Best, launching his own poké bowls (be still our beating bellies) at the market, and Orazio D’elia from Da Orazio Pizza & Porchetta, who’ll supply the endless pork goodness. We’ll be making a beeline for Brooklyn Boy Bagels, crispy bacon and egg rolls from Jenny Brown’s free-range eggs and also Great Wheel Of Cheese Toasties, because breakfast is bae.
The market will kick off on 19 March and entry is free. For all of the deets, head here.
