For loyal Shuk devotees, the news of another tasty outpost is next level.
Nestled at the entrance of Bondi’s beaming Pacific building, Shuk’s new beachside home features fresh sambos, hummus bowls, cheese pockets, flatbread and shakshuka as a special on the weekends. It’s a summer pop up, and will be open every day from 7am during the warmer weather (until February). The cafe has minimal seating, which means this Shuk venue will be your new summer takeaway hotspot for all the baked goods, with vegetarian and vegan feeds on offer too.
Shuk originally opened on North Bondi’s Mitchell Street back in 2013 and now has three permanent shops in Bondi, Chatswood and Elizabeth Bay.
We recommend hitting up the iconic bacon and egg baguette, or hummus bowl with 8-hour slow-cooked lamb as a hearty pre or post-beach feed. For something sweeter, the Shuk pop up will also feature a version of malabi—a traditional Israeli dessert made with rose water that Turkish delight fans will be into.
And check out Eden, Bondi's new plant-based courtyard eatery next door.
