These beautiful warm spring days means that weekends indoors are becoming a distant memory. Here at the Urban List, we've done our fair share of weekend market exploration and we've compiled a list, highlighting the best markets in Sydney, featuring gourmet goodies, vintage steals and second-hand trinkets galore.

EASTERN SUBURBS

EQ Village Markets | Moore Park

Considered a haven for foodies, all your wildest gourmet dreams will come true at the EQ Village Markets. Bursting with farm fresh goodies, local produce and with a perfect picnic area adjacent to the markets, why not make a day of it?
 
Where: Entertainment Quarter, Fox Studios, 122 Lang Road, Moore Park
When: Every Wednesday and Saturday of the month, early – 3pm

Double Bay Market | Double Bay

Nestled in the leafy surrounds of Guilfoyle Park, here you'll find anything from your weekly shopping to sweet snacks for your stroll between stalls. That long line at lunchtime will be for the gozleme and pulled pork rolls, we advise you join the back of it. You're welcome in advance.

Paddington Markets | Paddington

A Saturday morning ritual for many, the Paddington Markets is a must for anyone looking for an eclectic mix of anything from candles and flowers to second-hand records and leather wares. Stalls change monthly to ensure a unique experience each visit.

When: Saturdays 10am – 4pm

Bondi Farmers Market | Bondi Beach

Busting with free tastings, we advise you visit Bondi Farmers' Market with an empty stomach and a free hour or two. Choose from beautifully handmade pasta, fresh honey and locally sourced fruit and veg. A perfect place to do your weekly grocery shopping.

Sydney Sustainable Markets | Darlinghurst

Situated smack bang in the middle of Taylor Square, the Sydney Sustainable Markets focus on bringing the freshest produce straight from their origin to you. Browse organic seasonal fruit and veg, rare-breed meats, hand made pasta and delicious artisan cheeses. Franchise stall-free, these markets shift the focus onto promoting sustainable food systems and educating us on how to do the same.

Bondi Markets | Bondi

Bondi Markets are perfect for the intrepid soul who will rummage through bric-a-brac antiques and handcrafted goods for hours. Here you'll find yourself immersed in a world of handmade jewellery and fashion, leather goods and artworks. Situated across from Bondi Beach, enjoy a swim after a working up a sweat browsing.

Surry Hills Markets | Surry Hills

Believed to be one of the best markets in the city, at the Surry Hills market you'll be able to pick up anything from vintage leather and denim, second-hand cameras to pre-loved patterned pinafores. Situated on Crown Street, grab brunch and make a morning of it on Oxford Street.

NORTH SHORE & NORTHERN BEACHES

Frenchs Forest Organic Food Market | Frenchs Forest

A vibrant microcosm of global cuisine, Frenchs Forest Organic Food Market truly has something for everyone. Here you'll find coconut chai green tea, honey-cured bacon, vine-ripened tomatoes, seasonal varieties of apples and, our personal favourite, authentic Vietnamese street food.

Manly West Organic Market | Manly

Uniquely, everything on offer at the Manly West Organic Market is artificial herbicide, pesticide and fertiliser free, using only environmentally sustainable methods of production. In this natural wonderland, you'll find all sorts of herbal teas, organic ginger beer and the freshest fruit and veg.

Hornsby Organic Food & Farmers Markets | Hornsby

This is a true foodie's paradise. Bursting with eco-friendly and fair-trade groceries for your weekly shop, gourmet takeaway meals are a must for lunchtime. Additionally, skincare, natural therapies, flowers, plants and gardening products are all the rage too at the Hornsby Organic Food and Farmers Market.

Where: Hornsby Mall, Florence Street and Hunter Street, Hornsby
When: Every Thursday of the month, 8am – 3pm

The Beaches Market | Warriewood

Boasting 100 quality stores, here you'll find a wide selection of both organic and conventional produce. With fresh fruit and vegetables, smoked fish, deli items, baked goods and velvety truffle butter, make sure you arrive early.

Where: Pittwater Rugby Park, 1472 Pittwater Road, Warriewood
When: Every Friday of the month, 8am – 1pm

Northside Produce Market | North Sydney

Known for its loyal foodie following, Northside Produce Market doesn't disappoint. Produce is sourced from all over regional New South Wales; these markets will be on without a doubt rain, hail or shine. You'll find fresh seafood, organic sourdough, handmade sausages, flowers and more.

Where: Civic Centre Park, 220 Miller Street, North Sydney?
When: 3rd Saturday of the month, 8am – 12pm

Kirribilli Art & Design Market | Milsons Point

Wander between stalls dedicated to emerging artists and designers showcasing their original and often one-of-a-kind pieces at the Kirribilli Art and Design Market. The sweeping harbour views, coupled with live music and international food make for an atmosphere like no other on a Sunday morning.

Where: Burton Street Tunnel, Milsons Point (next to Milsons Point train station)
When: Sunday November 9th, 9am-3pm

CITY & INNER SUBURBS

Brewery Yard Markets | Chippendale

Though only a few months old, this market has well and truly earned its stripes as a must-do weekend thing to do in Sydney. Offering organic produce, live music, art demonstrations, vintage clothing, gourmet bites and beverages. Sit back, relax and enjoy that it's Sunday.

Where: 28 Broadway, Chippendale
When: Every 2nd Sunday starting from October 12th

Growers' Market | Pyrmont

Located by Sydney Harbour at the picturesque Pyrmont Bay Park, the Grower's Market offers everything from fresh fruit, vegetables, meat and seafood to out of this world delicacies such as buttery apple tarte tatin and salted caramel vanilla bonbons. Additionally, market goers receive a monthly visit from celebrity chefs, with Neil Perry from Rockpool and Mike McEnearney from Kitchen by Mike making appearances in recent months.

When: The first Saturday of the month, 7am-11am

Eveleigh Farmers' Market | Eveleigh

Carriageworks is the home of Eveleigh Farmers Market, making a name for itself in the last few years as one of Sydney's favourite foodie markets. You'll find yourself immersed in a world of vibrant bouquets, Kylie Kwong's tantalising pork buns, specialty sausages and salamis and raw honey. We assure you, it definitely won't disappoint.

The Rocks Foodies Markets | The Rocks

Foodies and home ware hunters take note – this is your one-stop destination for melting gozleme, intricate bonsai trees as well as wagyu beef burgers and homemade jams. What an ideally picturesque location to enjoy your Friday lunch!

The Rocks Weekend Markets | The Rocks

Located among Sydney's most scenic and historic streets, the Rock's Weekend Market makes for an enjoyable day of browsing. You'll meander between stalls offering one-of-a-kind fashions, fine jewellery, photography and art. With a focus on locally produced goods, know that you're supporting Sydney artists and businesses.

INNER WEST

Organic Food & Farmers Market | Marrickville

Bask in the relaxed atmosphere that is the Marrickville Organic Food and Farmers Market. You'll find a wide range of fresh fruit and veg, smoked fish and cheeses galore. There's even entertainment for the little ones, so bring along the family.

Glebe Markets | Glebe

Something of a Sydney market institution, Glebe Markets draws foodies and bargain hunters alike. Dig through second hand books, pre-loved threads, handcrafted jewellery, ornate home wares and don't forget to reenergise with some deliciously fresh lemonade while you meander between stores.

Newtown Community Market | Newtown

Grab a Russian pastry or an artwork from a local artist in this gem of a market, located in the tiny square opposite Newtown Station. Offering cheap clothes and shoes, second-hand books, records and magazines, the market raises funds for its community support programs. Grab a bargain and benefit a good cause? Perfect.

Rozelle Markets | Rozelle

Flourishing over the last twenty years, this flea market is perfect if you find yourself at home amongst vintage clothes, old school home wares, fine china trinkets, European clock faces and countless other knick-knacks from bygone eras.

WESTERN SUBURBS

Parramatta Farmers' Market | Parramatta

With an ever-changing array of veggies, milk, cheese, meat and honey, there's always something new to be found every Friday at the Parramatta Farmer's Market. With authentic local, seasonal produce sourced from around the Sydney area and regional NSW, you know you're getting the freshest of the fresh.

Castle Hill Farmers' & Fine Food Market | Castle Hill

Offering an abundance of fresh produce to tempt the taste buds of even the most picky of foodies, Castle Hill Farmers' and Fine Food Market caters to all your gourmet needs. While you're sipping on your freshly brewed coffee, wander through stalls offering figs, edible flowers, delicious stone fruit, freshly picked berries and grab yourself a homemade apple pie or two.

When: November 8th and 22nd, 8am – 12pm

Fairfiel Growers Marker | Fairfield

Newest kid on the market block, the Fairfield Growers' Market begins this weekend, bringing with it a whole new take on weekend markets. Stalls will sell fresh herbs, fruit, homemade pickles and pasta as well as cheese platters, wine and a whole lot more. Uniquely, a lot of the fresh produce will actually come from the garden beds and beehives in Fairfield RSL's secret rooftop garden. Entry to the market is $5, with proceeds donated to Fairfield Uniting Church's soup kitchen. So essentially you're shopping, supporting the environment and an excellent cause all in one!

Penrith Farmers & Fine Food Market | Penrith

With an impressive line up of live music, jumping castles and countless activities for the kids, Penrith Farmers' and Fine Food Market is an idyllic Saturday for the whole family. Enjoy organic coffee as you browse local and seasonal meats, vegetables, gourmet pasta and freshly baked goods.

Where: Outside the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre, 597 High Street, Penrith?
When: 1st Saturday of every month, 8am – 1pm

The Sydney Boutique Markets | Bella Vista

Enjoy the sunshine as the Sydney Boutique Markets means clothes shopping no longer has to be a fluorescent-lit, multi-level shopping centre affair. Enjoy browsing through emerging designer goods right out in the fresh air.

When: 1st Sunday of every month, 10am-4pm  

SOUTHERN SYDNEY

Living Laneways Markets | Rockdale

With a new market theme every month, Living Laneways Markets is in constant creative flux. September saw the fitting theme of "spring", with floral arrangements and gardening tools taking centre stage and with October came the "vintage" them. For this month, the new theme is "fashion", with the plan of showcasing brand new and vintage fashion, accessories and jewellery. Come on down and join in the fun!

Where: King Lane, Pitt Lane and King Street Plaza, Rockdale
