There's no denying Sydney's cycling scene has flourished in the last few years—fixies, racers and the casual cruisers—two wheels have become 'the' Sydney accessory. And with the introduction of bike lanes across our winding and meandering city streets, it's time to get involved folks.

So, whether you're a racing enthusiast or daily commuter, we've tracked down 9 of Sydney's best bike shops . . . just riding along on my pushbike honey.

Clarence St Cyclery | CBD

A destination for serious bike fetishists, Clarence St Cyclery has been in the business of bikes for almost 40 years and is currently the largest retailer in Australia of Trek Bicycles and women specific bicycles, clothing and accessories. With over 150 different models of bikes on display, and a bike to suit every style of rider—cycling fanatics will feel spoilt for choice. There is also on-site servicing, free maintainer courses, and a cycle club with Club Rides every Wednesday and Sunday morning.

Velofix | Rozelle

A full-blown bicycle service centre, Velofix stocks high-grade bicycles via Specialized and Rivet, as well as offering custom builds to your specifications. This is certainly a destination for the serious rider, however, if you're looking to improve your skills, Velofix provides one of Sydney's best spin classes utilising Wattbikes to deliver an authentic cycling feel. Atelier de Velo | CBD

A bicycle workshop-cum-espresso bar, Atelier de Vélo combines two of Sydney's greatest love affairs. Its specialises in high-end Italian and German road bikes, and the collection spans Bianchi, Wilier, Focus, Pivot, Peugeot and Cervélo as well as a line of attractive cycling apparel, parts and accessories. Woolys Wheels | Paddington
