Nothing says comfort food in the winter months quite like a big bowl of soup. From laksa, pho, and ramen to everything in between, here are Sydney's best soups for winter.

Laksa

BaBa Laksa House | CBD

Tucked away in the 4-star Grace hotel, BaBa Laksa House is perfect when you've got a hankering for a great laksa. The chicken laksa consists of a big bowl of broth with tender and juicy toppings, and just the right kick of chilli, that will keep you warm on the inside!

Malay-Chinese Takeaway | CBD

If you're after some authentic and affordable Malay cuisine this winter then it's certain you'll need to put Malay-Chinese Takeaway at the top of your list. We can't go past the drumstick chicken laksa and the the chicken and prawn laksa.

Pho

PHD Vietnamese Restaurant | Marrickville

Marickville is fast becoming home to many Urban List favorites, and when it comes to the best soup in Sydney, we can't go past PHD Vietnamese. Their pho is a tasty, soupy broth, packed full of Vietnamese flavours and spices, just the way we like it. The addition of thick rice noodles, topped with juicy beef, coriander, and a pinch of chilli takes it to the next level.

Tre Viet | Newtown

There's no denying that Tre Viet has garnered quite the reputation among Newtown foodies as well as Sydney Pho connoisseurs. Renowned for their beef Pho, with a generous serving of crispy skin beef, and a side basket of Thai basil and bean sprouts, Tre Viet is worth checking out if you're on the hunt for the best soup in Sydney.

MissChu | Darlinghurst

MissChu may be the queen of rice paper rolls, but there's no denying that the rest of the Vietnamese-inspired menu is full of tasty gems. The 100% vegan Pho is the perfect filler for a bit of warmth in the cooler months. It's gluten-free as well, so this soup is perfect for those with special dietary requirements (and those who like delicious soup!).

Ramen

Ryo's Noodles | Crows Nest

As the weather gets cooler, there's a definite desire for Ramen, and Sydney siders have long withstood the line out the front of Ryo's Noodles to get their fix of one of the best soups in Sydney. The Ramen is authentic and delicious, and we suggest you order the chicken ramen in Tokyo-style soy sauce soup with roast pork, egg, bamboo shoots, and nori. Delicious!

The Best Of The Rest

Crutons Soup Bar | Wynyard

Ladling up some of Sydney's best soup, Croutons Soup Bar has about a dozen soup options at the start of the day, so you'll find the perfect bowl of comfort food to keep you snug. We can't go past the classic Indonesian chicken noodle soup—perfect for when you're a bit under the weather, or just a bit, y'know… hungry.

Cafe Giulia | Chippendale

Giulia is the place to be on a cool winter's day, with a novel-sized menu that will not disappoint.. Our favourite is the lentil soup but it's a toss up between that and the delicious lima bean and fennel soup served with chorizo. Y-um.

Earth Food Store | Bondi

Earth Food Store is your one-stop-shop for all things nutritious and delicious, including some of the best soups in Sydney! Located in beautiful Bondi Beach, Earth Food Store are renowned for their organic produce and high quality ingredients. The menu changes daily to accommodate the freshest seasonal ingredients, which makes the soups taste even better!
