Best food festival Sydney

Thanks to the legends over at The Brazilian Community Council of Australia and the Sydney Portugal Community Club, Sydney is getting its very first Portuguese-Brazilian festival. We’re all quietly wondering why it’s taken so damn long TBH, but are pretty chuffed that it’s happening, because there’ll be live music, delicious food and drinks from both countries.

They’re calling it the Canguru na Folia (translated to Kangaroo revelry) and it’ll bring carnival vibes to the inner west, complete with a costume competition, jumping castle, live DJs, and as much food as you can fit into your hungry belly.

Tickets are dirt-cheap and we know it’ll be worth the—tiny—investment. Head here for tickets.

The details:

What: Canguru na Folia Festival
When: Saturday 25 February – Sunday 26 February
Where: Sydney Portugal Community Club – 100 Marrickville Road, Marrickville
Cost: $5-7
