Jumping aboard the Sydney food train last month, with the likes of Zeus Street Greek and Wholefoods House in tow, Saporium is the newest food marketplace that needs to go on your weekend hit list ASAP. It is open daily, but the Saturday market days are when things get really exciting, with live entertainment and a pop-up bbq by Kingsmore Meats (and so, so much more).
This is your opportunity to sample the artisan offerings from the Saporium tenants, so if you are suffering from commitment issues, then this is a good chance to try before you buy. In addition to the usual suspects (Grain Organic Bakery, 5th Earl., The Choc Pot, Welcome Dose Coffee, the list goes on), there will also be a host of providores who share an ethos of providing the best quality produce to fill you up on the spot and also ply you with goodies to take home for dinner.
There’s basically something for all people and all moods, since savoury dishes are accounted for, courtesy of Mr.Bao Buns, Little Creek Cheese and Brooklyn Boy Bagels; sweets are taken care of by Chocolate by James Collins and health lovers will be all over Wild Kombucha and 80 Raw 20 Paleo. If you aren’t only heading there for the food, then pick up some lush homewares by Sew.B, Ayana Jewelry and La Florista.
Head to Saporium if you hate waiting until you get home from the supermarket before scoffing half of the goods. No judgement.
