The Gen Y Guide To Nailing Your Pre-Flight Airport Routine

Airports are one of our fave places ever. You’re usually off somewhere exciting (even if it’s just for a family reunion) and always have a little spare time up your sleeve, which NEVER happens in your every day-to-day. That’s why we’ve teamed up with Sydney Airport to bring you the Gen Y guide to never being bored there. After all, you need to make the most of your oh-so-precious spare time.

Guys, this one’s a given. If you’re not checking in from home, you’re not doing life right. You want as much spare time at the airport as possible. Duh.

Soz. We don’t mean a flight upgrade—those things just don’t happen anymore, LBH. We mean a tech upgrade, obvs. Whether you’re in need of a new case for your iPad, a new set of headphones (we strongly suggest you invest in some Bose), or are in the mood to treat yo’self, you’ll be sorted at Tech2Go.

ICYMI, the Insta-worthy Lorna Jane Active Living Room at T2 Domestic has a yoga room. We repeat: Sydney Airport has a yoga room! Prep for your domestic flight with a downward dog, warrior and tree pose, and never look back. Don’t forget your activewear (or do, and invest in some LJ).

Has anyone else ever noticed the shops at the airport have the best stock? Like that iconic Country Road coat that’s sold out everywhere—you’ll find it at the airport. We promise. So you should totally take advantage of this and visit Peter Alexander, French Connection, Mimco, Witchery—the works!

There’s nothing better in life than getting a mini (or mega) makeover, and AMUSE Beauty Studio delivers the goods. Want to try this season’s must-have nude lip? Consider it done. Dying to smell the entire Gucci fragrance range? They’ve got you covered. We literally spent hours in AMUSE Beauty Studio experimenting and upping our beauty game and you should too #wortharrivingearlyfor.

Wine time should always be your number one priority and luckily, it’s always wine time at the airport (as it should be). Seat yourself at MoVida for a tasty drop (or two) of vino and be transported to Spain with their tasty selection of tapas and charcuterie #drool. You’ll never want to leave.

If feasting isn’t your fave thing to do in the whole entire world, you’re obvs not part of Gen Y. The ultimate way to pass time, order one of everything from Beer DeLuxe (the burgers and battered John Dory are a must!) and eat your way into a food coma. You can sleep it off on the flight.
