Five Awesome Things To Do In Sydney This Week

Monday can be such a drag…UNTIL you uncover a darn fine line up of activities (some being edible) that are calling your name. 

There really is no shortage of fun times ahead for you Sydneysiders, we’re talking wine paired dinners, 90s kid show trivia nights and rooftop movie nights feat. ridonkulous burgers. So, settle in and get around the action people.

Here are five epic things to do in Sydney this week.

Monday 27 August 


The Rook is curing the Monday blues with a screening of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off under the stars on their rooftop cinema. Grab those blankies, curl up on a beanbag and get choosing between the ‘cocktails & popcorn’ package or the ‘burger me’ package. Just so you know, the Deep South Surf and Turf burger is kind of everything you’ve ever wanted squeezed into a bun, think Southern Fried chicken and lobster mayo with fresh tomato and lettuce. For your information, there is now a little tucked away gem in Elizabeth Bay allowing you to get your inner-yoga freak on in your lunch break, for free! The community yoga classes are held every Monday and taught by a bunch of outright legends so your week can involve a little less ‘no’ and a little more ‘nosh’.

Tuesday 28 August


To think that the days of binge-watching Hey Arnold, The Ren and Stimpy Show and Catdog with the squad would come in handy one day. Well our sweet rug rats, the time has come. Since I Left You (SILY) is testing your knowledge on 90s kid shows on Tuesday evening. The best part? You’ll be able to munch on all those things you weren’t allowed back in the day. We recommend getting around the crispy waffle-cooked falafels, cheeseburger toastie and spicy vegetarian quesadillas with Mexican dips whilst you reminisce. Wednesday 29 August


This epic culinary collab will take place at the oh-so-scenic Aqua Dining and it will feature a 7-course menu with the option to add matched wines. Menu-wise, we’re talking funky, imaginative courses like Scarlet prawns, sea urchin ice cream, green apple and tapioca and wagyu tenderloin, artichoke, black garlic and puffed buckwheat. PAINT IT UP AT Woolloomooloo bay hotel

To think we couldn’t love this legendary joint on the Finger Wharf more than we already do. Woolloomooloo Bay Hotel is hosting a fishing themed painting class this Wednesday so you can get your inner art geek on whilst having a sip and nibble from the bar. You also get to take home your masterpiece at the end of the night, just to remind yourself how darn artsy-fartsy you really are. To book tickets, head over here
