As you can probably tell, we take our caffeine very seriously.
Like the rest of the human population, there are few things we hate more than cold coffee and long lines, and for this very reason we’ve teamed up with Hey You and Visa Checkout to hunt down the very best coffee in Sydney where you can beat the queue by ordering ahead on the Hey You App and get your daily dose without the wait.
And now, after a month of intense coffee love and admirable cafe loyalty, the search is officially over. We’ve counted every single one of your votes (there were thousands) and we are beyond thrilled to crown—drumroll, please—Dachshund Coffee as the coffee king of Sydney!
The doggy-friendly café has been a long time favourite with Hunters Hill locals and it’s pretty easy to see why: Serving up Fat Poppy beans all day, erry day, the coffee here is as strong as it is smooth (exactly the way it should be). They do a killer cold brew and showcase seasonal single origins and espresso blends for both espresso and filter.
Stop by on your way to work without a worry about the wait thanks to Hey You (if you haven’t downloaded the app already, get with the times and do it now) or do as the ‘Hounds of Hunter’s Hill’s’ motto suggests and Come. Sit. Stay.
On top of the epic coffee offering this café is boasting an equally impressive food situation well worth sticking around for if you’re not in a rush. Embracing the farm to fork philosophy, you’re going to want one of everything. Their Reformed Avo is what our avo on toast dreams are made of, and the fig and cranberry sourdough, served with lemon curd, whipped ricotta and walnut praline, is worth every single scrumptious calorie.
Massive congrats to Dachshund Coffee for taking out the title of best coffee in Sydney, minus the queue.
