Gelato Messina is bringing truffle week to Sydney this July and we couldn’t be happier about it. In a seven-course salute to truffles from Australia and Europe, Messina is hosting two dinner sittings each day over four nights, in celebration of everyone’s favourite funghi.
If you have ever tackled life’s biggest decision – choosing between one of Messina’s weekly specials or sticking to an old faithful – or love dousing any and all savoury dishes in truffle oil, then you should probably hop to it and book your seat at their Truffle Week degustation.
Hosted at Messina’s Creative Department in Darlinghurst, the intimate space seats eight people, who’ll be in for seven courses of truffle-focussed dishes, each paired with insanely creative non-alcoholic drinks. Picture delicious, juicy mocktails on steroids and you might come close to imagining their concoctions.
On a regular night, Messina Head Chef Donato Toce designs menus designed to be an experimental, immersive, intriguing, indulgent and, at times, confronting. Their dishes border on dessert and shock your taste buds, making you question whether you are eating a sweet or savoury dish. Now add truffles in to the mix and it just got even more appealing, didn’t it? Yeah it did.
Tickets are already on sale and you can get yours here.
