Wes Anderson already has a bunch on his plate with the animated Isle of Dogs heading into Oscar season as a strong contender.
Now, the American filmmaker has started shooting his next live-action movie in the South of France and big news, it will star the ridiculously talented Timothée Chalamet who was nominated for an Oscar at just 22 years old earlier this year (all thanks to his stellar, heartbreaking performance in Call Me By Your Name).
It has also been confirmed that Anderson’s pipeline movie, which has been dubbed The French Dispatch, will in fact not be a 1950s musical (as the internet had speculated). Rather, it’ll be a “love letter to journalists”, centred around a US newspaper based in Paris during the 20th Century.
As for the rest of the cast, word on the street is that Frances McDormand, Tilda Swinton, Bill Murray and Benicio del Toro will also be flexing their talent on screen in this one.
