If you’ve long been watching a new space growing off the Oasis Shopping Centre in Broadbeach’s restaurant precinct, now is the time to get excited folks!
A well established and highly regarded hospitality team out of Brisbane, Hatch & Co. has just today revealed their superb new baby, in our very own Broady.
With big things on the horizon for our humble beachside home (a small event in 2018, perhaps?) it’s cool to watch focus turning and the migration of a number of successful restaurateurs to the Coast. The team at Hatch & Co. were considering several locations but knew Broadbeach was the best fit for their third venture, and we couldn’t agree more.
Modelled after their popular Brisvegas eateries, Hatch & Co. exemplifies casual dining; the natural light-filled space features funky wood and greenery walls, Scandinavian retro-style seating, with industrial finishings.
While the Broadbeach restaurant will plate up a number of dishes developed specifically for the new venue, expect plenty of tried-and-tested favourites from their existing rustic home-style sharing menu. And with a traditional wood-fired pizza oven gracing the open-plan kitchen, you can bet this will be our first stop.
Family-style sharing is a signature focus for Hatch & Co. with small and large share plates, starting with their famed beetroot hummus with pistachio feta, crispy calamari, and pickled garfish on seeded crisp bread. Though the main event is robust shared meat dishes including slow-cooked lamb shoulder, braised pork and lamb shoulders, and rosemary marinated grilled chicken, complemented by tasty hot and cold sides. Jamie Oliver fans, eat your heart out!
For those less inclined to share (but really, who doesn’t love an interactive sharing session?!), head for main plates such as burgers, roasted chicken, pasta, and steak. They’ve done a fine job of nailing all your fave cocktails too, so we reckon this will also become a sweet pre or post-movie night stop for aperitifs and appetisers.
Open for lunch and dinner, Hatch & Co. is a perfect fit for this buzzing end of the Coast. And as Broadbeach’s best restaurants continues to grow and evolve, we’re delighted to extend the hearty Gold Coast welcome to its newest resident.
