Central Gold Coasters, we’re here to let you in on a little secret! When passing through the southern end of Miami, perhaps you’ve already spotted the signage wrapping around a corner store-front that reads “cruelty free and killing it”. Intrigued much?
Yep, the Coast’s favourite plant-based restaurant, Greenhouse Factory is opening a brand new venue in Miami—Greenhouse Canteen and Bar!
By now we all know veganism and vegetarianism is not just a passing fad, with society becoming more consciously aware of where their food comes from and what they are putting in their bodies. Hell, gluten free, organic, raw, whole foods, and clean eating has never featured more prominently on menus and plastered across social media, with everyone jumping aboard the health-laden wagon.
Greenhouse is the real deal, though. Likely to convert a few carnivores along the way, they continue to lead the charge in the industry across the Coast, creating food that is not only nourishing for the stomach but for the soul.
Over the coming weeks, Greenhouse will be migrating north to a new Miami-based venue, giving locals a teaser of what’s to come. To start they’ll be testing the waters with pop-up dinner events (likely on Sundays), with plans to open in March for lunch and dinner (eventually breakfast) satisfying a growing community’s week-round desire for quality plant-based dining. And let us tell you, if you’ve not yet already experienced the goods, you’re in for one hell of a treat!
The culinary team behind Greenhouse have mad skills, delivering an innovative menu that champions the vegetables…
While the new space will be smaller and the outlook less beachy, you can expect the same epic standard of vegan and vegetarian dishes, using the freshest of fresh local seasonal produce that’s organic and ethically sourced. The new Miami venue will also have a slightly different concept to the more formal dining experience at the original Greenhouse, with communal high-top tables, street food, and a share-plate-style menu for maximum interaction. They’ll be upping their bar game too, with a new cocktail menu, beer on tap, and organic, vegan vino supplied by Goodwill Wines (who will donate 50% of sales to the charity of Greenhouse’s choice, neat huh?). There will even be an in-house boutique by Abbey Jones of Lovechild Laneway for all your vegan-friendly shoes, bags, and clothing needs.
But we all know you’re here for the food! The culinary team behind Greenhouse have mad skills, delivering an innovative menu that champions the vegetables—dishes that are mind boggling in their creativity, design, and flavour. Some lovingly-curated menu highlights will include pulled jackfruit soft tacos (pulled pork vego style!), pan-fried sweet potato gnocchi, along with many of the Greenhouse Factory favourites to make an appearance at Miami’s Greenhouse Canteen and Bar.
Already, both seatings at their very first pop-up dinner—this Sunday for Valentine’s Day—are almost sold out (READ: there’s still a handful of tables left!), which is an indication of their admiration among in-the-know locals. If you want to learn of their next pop-up dinner events, jump over to their Facebook page so you can test the goods before they officially open in March. Hop to it, folks!
