If your November wasn’t already packed with awesomeness, we’ve got one more must-do event you need to add to your calendar—STAT!
Still crying into your acai bowl that you missed out on tickets to Etsu’s Feast Under A Tipi, AGAIN? Well, you’ll be stoked to learn their sister venue Commune, and everyone’s fave cafe, is throwing a block party shindig later this month, and y’all invited!
If you already love this little spot to pieces during the sunshine hours, you’re going to simply adore it under twinkly lights and surrounded by an epic crew of loyal customers and jovial staff. Commune is hosting its first ever block party night in the court yard, a “Greek Feast” on November 27, and it’s shaping up to be a wicked Sunday session to mark the official start of summer.
For a pop-up event with very limited seats, we reckon ticket prices are ridiculously good value, too. For $35 you’ll get a Greek-themed “family style” spread with the likes of saganaki, slow-roasted lamb shoulder, whole-roasted chicken, house-made flat breads, tasty salads, and more. Platters will be served down the centre of long communal tables so you can tuck in and get friendly with your neighbours over soul-satisfying eats. Of course, there will be a cash bar so you can have a tipple or three to add to the merriment, all while being entertained with sweet tunes by blues duo, The James Street Preachers.
Guests will be invited to arrive from 5pm to order drinkies from the cute outdoor pop-up bar, including special cocktails designed by Etsu’s talented bar manager, Adam Bastow, with the feasting happening from 6pm. If our experience with this crew is any indication, it’ll be a memorable night filled with awesome company, good vibes, and plenty of laughs.
Tickets go on sale this Friday at noon and we anticipate they will NOT last long, so gather your squad and nominate a leader to secure your seats.
