There comes a time in our life when we must opt for the lighter option to reign in our diet-refusing lifestyle and get back on track. Lacking a bit of vitamin A? Go for kale. Vitamin K? Avocado. Don’t give a crap about vitamins? Maple-glazed bacon. Whether you’re a macro-master or just doing it for the ‘gram, nutritious brekkie bowls are a go-to. Notorious for their abundance of all things green and a poachie or two, brekkie bowls are becoming a serious trend here on the GC; so much so that we’ve developed a liking for kale. Almost.
So, if you’re a green machine or on the hunt for a good quinoa porridge, we have you sorted. Here’s to eight of the best brekkie bowls on the Gold Coast. We know you’ll love them.

Basically anything on the Terrarium menu will make you walk out feeling lighter, healthier, stronger; except for those ridic cakes, that is. Despite the obvious (hummus) it's loaded with mesclun lettuce, beetroot relish, Persian feta, a poached egg and a flavour-packed sprinkling of the Middle Eastern spice, ras el hanout. This beauty is totally worthy of a place in your stomach and on your Insta wall.

By far one of the best and most intricate bowls on the Gold Coast, Elk Espresso’s Very Green Salad really packs a punch of flavour. Sautéed kale, silver beet, peas, asparagus, broccolini, roast pumpkin, beetroot labneh, hazelnuts and poached eggs are just the start, add pork belly or sourdough to be seriously extra.

Barefoot Barista’s Well-Being Porridge is, with no understatement, sicker than your average porridge. Quinoa, buckwheat and rice with banana, almonds, cacao, coconut crumb and house-made maple comprise the bowl of goodness that goes down oh so well with their signature coffee blend.
