April is the month that keeps on giving. With a truckload of festivals and events happening your diary is probably looking pretty jam-packed right about now, but be sure to carve out some time for one of our favourite events of the year, the Quiksilver and Boost Mobile Pros.

Running from 3 to 13 April at Snapper Rocks, here are five reasons we’re seriously pumped about the epic surfing comps.

A Chance To Support Australia’s Best

After winning the 2018 world championship tour, the Gold Coast’s very own Stephanie Gilmore is eyeing off world title number eight, which will take her past Layne Beachley to become Australia’s greatest ever female surfer. In the men’s draw, watch Julian Wilson try and go one better on his second-place finish last year.

Corona X Parley Beach Clean Up

These two organisations, in conjunction with the World Surf League, have been doing great things to protect our oceans against the onslaught of plastic marine pollution. Corona and Parley have pledged to protect 100 islands in 6 regions around the globe by 2020. Now it’s Australia’s turn to take up the fight. Get involved on Friday 5 April from 2pm. Head here for all the details.

Rub Shoulders With The World’s Best With An Atlas Pass

That’s right, surfing does VIP too! It’s not all hot sand and sunburn. The Atlas Pass gives you access to the World Surf League VIP lounge for the day, which includes prime viewing of the live surfing action, television screens to keep updated with analysis and commentary, complimentary food and drink, and our favourite bit—there’s an athlete ‘meet and greet’ thrown in.

Catch Some Tunes At The Drop Festival 2019

Boasting a seriously epic line up, including the likes of Angus and Julia Stone, Jungle Giants, Client Liaison, Hockey Dad and Alex the Astronaut, you don’t want to miss out on this one. The touring festival follows the Australian leg of the championship tour to celebrate local music and art and rolls into Cooly on Saturday 6 April.

Enjoy The Good Vibes

It’s the first event of the championship tour, make the most of it. Catch a little sun and saltwater down on the sand. Stroll through the pop-up stores and chair up with your favourite beverage at an on-site bar. There’s plenty going on in every direction. Enjoy!
