Messina HQ is bringing the carpark party goods again team and once again, it'll be filled with Filipino street eats and also the delicious gelato Messina is oh-so-known for.
If you’re unaccustomed to the Hoy Pinoy offerings, expect to be munching on some of the best Filipino street food you’ll taste, outside of the Philippines, that is. No snags here friends, this event will see the smokey grill slathered with marinated meaty skewers to bring you Hoy Pinoy eats like the inihaw na baboy, pork belly skewers with their famous banana ketchup glaze and their famous inihaw na mankok, AKA chicken skewers. There’ll also be a few extra delights available just for the event.
And because us Aussies know how to turn the average B-B-Q into an epic barbie, we just have to make room for dessert. There won’t be a pavlova in sight, with Gelato Messina instead serving up their bibingka (rice flour and coconut cake) filled with a scoop of gelato topped with desiccated coconut, whipped butter and palm sugar syrup. Your toughest decision will definitely be choosing which flavour of gelato to fill it all with. Think coconut pandan, salted egg, ube, or mango sorbet. DEE-ROOL.
So that’s it, prepare your bellies people, because it's all going down this weekend in Sydney.
