Truffle season is upon us and with it comes menu upon menu of all the delicious feeds. Kicking the feast off this year is Devon Cafe, which means you’re in for some pretty next level truffle creativity.
Bringing back its limited-edition truffle menu, you’ll find iconic truffle-infused staples like the classic toastie, a truffle egg sando and the truffle sundae. New dishes this time around include puffed salmon skin with aburi avocado, konbu and fresh truffle and tres loche lost bread with hazelnut chantilly, meringue, warm truffle custard and fresh truffle.
Devon’s Barangaroo outpost will also feature stealthier dishes like Spanish broken eggs with kipfler potatoes, romanesco and truffle and a 16-hour braised beef cheek with pedro ximenez glaze, celeriac puree and fresh truffle as well.
But the real gem you’ll want to go in hard for includes the next level truffle hotcakes loaded with whipped cream cheese, maple and fresh truffle. That’s a food coma we’d go through twice.
