If Sydney needed a mascot, Kevin Bacon would, in our humble opinion, be a pretty fantastic candidate for the job.
And nope, we’re not talking about the guy from Footloose, in this instance, we mean the adorable pig that turned The Grounds of Alexandria into a major Sydney attraction and a must-visit for any travelling brunch fiends.
Kevin Bacon (the pig) retired from his life leading the petting zoo at The Grounds in June last year after a pretty wild career (that included a super suss kidnapping), but for those of us missing his glory days, this beloved farm friend is set to make a come back, albeit a brief one, this week.
It seems Kevin Bacon has only semi-retired, as Squealing Pig Gin has charged this bristly-haired fellow with being their own mascot (yep, makes sense). They've launched a brand new rosé-infused gin for summer, and will be celebrating at The Grounds with the one and only Kevin Bacon this weekend.
So for all you big-time Kevin Bacon fans out there, he'll be back in action and ready for friendly visits on Friday and Saturday. And hey, you can also visit The Grounds' newest piglet, Harry Trotter.
