Justin Hemmes and the Merivale team are keeping busy, this time with a new live art studio-cum-bar—called Work In Progress. Taking over 50 King Street in Sydney's CBD, and curated by acclaimed art curator Glenn Barkley (formerly Senior Curator of the MCA) and artist Franck Gohier, this exciting new venue opens in just weeks!

What was the Trumps Tavern, will be transformed into an evolving art studio where Darwin-based pop artist Gohier, will work away while punters enjoy tasty Thai cuisine and a rotating cocktail list.

Work In Progress will be the venue's first pop-up incarnation, at the beginning of an ongoing hospitality journey. The kitchen will be manned by talented head chef Air Jantrakool (ex Sailors Thai) and the cocktail menu designed by Merivale's Group Bars Manager Paul Mant.
