You said 2018 would be the year you read more, and now the NSW government is helping you stick to at least one of those resolutions.

In a revamp of Darling Harbour, set to cost a cheeky $3.4 billion, we’re about to score a new addition to our fair city that can only be described as epic—behold the six-storey high Darling Exchange.

Designed by Japanese architect Kengo Juma, Darling Exchange will include a two-storey library and if this is the year you get that side hustle off the ground, listen up. These new digs have been created with start-ups in mind, with rooms and facilities making it the ideal local for you to mingle with likeminded creatives.

The new library isn’t all that’s planned for Darling Exchange. You can expect a rooftop bar, restaurant, market hall and more.
