For all the Weis lovers out there (that’s everyone, right? Because who doesn’t love Weis?)—Weis Sorbet Exotics are really getting into the summer spirit and will be coming to four bars in Sydney with some exotic new flavours being mixed up into cool as cocktails.
Three exclusive new drinks by The Rook’s cocktail extraordinaire Cristiano Beretta will be available only at Keystone’s The Rook, Manly Wine, Bungalow 8 and Sweethearts Rooftop for two delicious weeks from December 11th—so make a date to head on down and get your cocktail on.
The Ritzy Fizz with Weis’ Blood Orange and Tahitian Lime Sorbet makes your usual citrus cocktail seem positively tame in comparison, especially with the addition of kaffir lime in amongst Citron, Aperol and prosecco. Think of it as a tropical cocktail party in your mouth.
For an ode to our fave summer berry with a wild native spin, the Raspberry and Lemon Myrtle Sorbet forms the perfect base for the York St Gossip, which has a dash of Peychaud bitters with Tanqueray to balance out all the sweetness.
And, if you like pina coladas, the Funky Punk will have you figuratively dancing in the rain. No glace cherries in this glass though—just a touch of mint with Johnnie Walker, and Weis Sorbet Exotics Pineapple, Coconut and Lime make up this coconutty and wonderfully refreshing cocktail.
So, if you’re after an exotic (and damn tasty) way to kick off summer, you’ll want to make a beeline to these four Sydney bars this week. Oh, and they also make for a pretty neat way to finish off your summer dinner parties if you want to get your cocktail shaker out at home—recipes right over here.
Okay Sydney Weis-lovers, we’ll see you there, cocktail in hand.
