Whether you knew it as Capitol, Globe or Pinocchio’s, 393 Murray Street was set to re-open in March as Magnet House, or Maggie’s to those in the know. Obviously they had to put a pin in it, but after yesterday's announcements, the word is out that they will be opening at 12:01am on Saturday 27 June—that's basically this Friday night; you'll just need to find somewhere else to party until midnight.

Maggie’s promises to be Perth’s very own answer to Studio 54; a place where you can leave your pesky real-life problems at the door and let loose on the dancefloor.

The venue is home to Australia’s first-ever fully automated LED ceiling which transforms right in front of your eyes thanks to a multi-million dollar production and lighting install. Of course, that means she will be playing host to some epic gigs from local, national and international DJs and word on the street is that they’ll be playing well into the wee hours of the morning.

She's home to three bars and two separate rooms which will host different DJs, so you’ll never get bored here, and if you want to really live it up, make the most of the private, bookable booths which will be both up and downstairs.

Magnet House opens Saturday 27 June at 12:01am and there's no cover charge to get in, though you can pay to skip the queue if you just don't want to wait. If you book a booth by 12pm on Friday you'll go into the draw to win your booth bill so that's a no brainer. Oh, and if you happen to partying in Scarborough beforehand, there will be buses from The Lookout at midnight on both Friday and Saturday night this weekend.

Until then, check out these places to go dancing in Perth.
