Get amongst the regal news people (no, the Harry and Meg courtship was very much last week’s headline). A new brasserie-style restaurant has opened its fancy AF doors at The Rubens at the Palace Hotel in central London and sweet Jesus it is all kinds of ritz, glam and old-school luxe in one.
Sydney, give a royal wave and welcome to The English Grill, the latest addition to The Rubens at The Palace Hotel. And just so you know, this ain’t no walk-in wearing thongs and boardies affair, as much as we’d like it to be.
This place oozes the best of English tradition, design and flavours and is absolutely fine dining to a tee (because chandeliers). All ingredients are locally sourced from the highest quality English suppliers, including meats from Aubrey Allen—just casually a Royal Warrant holder to Her Majesty The Queen.
In other words, The Queen is totally obsessed with the butcher that delivers the meat to her big ol’ palace on the reg. So basically, you’ll be chowing down on the same top quality cuts of English meat (that are totally grilled to perfection) as Prince Harry himself.
The hotel’s Cavalry Bar has also had a touch of a makeover and gives even peasants like yourself the chance to indulge in pre-dinner cocktails or get around a digestif during the nightly live music shows. Because duh, that’s how the royals do it.
Meanwhile, here are the world's most OTT hotel rooms.
