Stop what you’re doing and listen up! Sydney finally has a late night dessert bar and we’re pretty sure we’ve never been more excited about sugar in our entire adult lives (yes, including that one time we almost ate our weight in Golden Gaytime burgers).
12-Micron in Barangaroo is dishing up 3, 5 and 7 course dessert degustations every night of the week, meaning you can now get your serve of sweet in a super classy restaurant whenever you want.
The menu (designed by dessert king Darren Purchese) is not your average dessert menu, with options like cheesecake (with fermented strawberry and white chocolate), smoked vanilla ice cream (with plum and thyme sable), and roasted white chocolate (with banana, coffee, passionfruit and avocado). We strongly suggest you try one of everything.
The best part? There’s booze. And plenty of it. Whether you’re after something dark and mysterious (think Johnnie Walker Black mixed with plum pisco, gin, crème de cacao blanc and Aztec chocolate bitters), or light and refreshing (like the smokey bee), you’re in good hands. After all, everyone knows dessert is better with booze.
