Here at The Urban List, we have a love-hate relationship with camping—we love the thought of being outdoors, but don’t love getting dirty and giving up our creature comforts. Thankfully, we’ve just discovered a brand new glamping spot and it’s as luxe as staying in a hotel, but still delivers those relaxing wilderness vibes.
Sierra Escape is only a 20-minute drive from Mudgee’s town centre, so it’s designed especially for enjoying all of our favourite Mudgee things—food, wine and a killer sunset. We recommend that you book in for winter, stat, because the tents are insulated for cold weather and it’s more fun roasting marshmallows over a campfire in the winter.
The tents are fully kitted out, with a huge tub that overlooks the rolling Mudgee hills, a giant king sized bed, a porch that was made for watching those sunsets, and drinking that wine we mentioned earlier, as well as wall-to-wall windows. To be honest, the tents have been pimped out so thoroughly that they barely resemble tents anymore, and we’re totally okay with that.
