Nobbys’ flourishing eat and drink scene is set to get its very own slice of Italia!
The talented Carney brothers, including Paul and twins, James and Alec, have enjoyed resounding success with their Broadbeach-based baby, Gemelli. Soon their original establishment will get a twin brother of its own, with the opening of their second Gold Coast venture–a more casual and intimate pizzeria, wine, and cocktail bar.
Migrating south to Nobbys, the boys will bring their renowned home-style cooking and charming good looks, to reach a new audience of hungry patrons.
Have you ever daydreamed of your last Italian summer sojourn–when you were served lovingly-kneaded and hand-thrown pizza by the Sicilian mafia or, perhaps it was dreamy gnocchi in Sorrento? Well you can be guaranteed of re-living those real or imaginary food-laden dreams at Gemelli. Authenticity here is key, and we think they’ve nailed it.
We love these guys ‘cause they are passionate and devout to their heritage. A promising new generation of restaurateurs preserving traditional recipes passed down from their beloved Nonna, and carefully recreated using the freshest and simplest combination of ingredients, just as you’d find in Italy.
Earmarked to open January 4, Gemellini Nobby Beach looks set to be the first new eatery to drop in 2016.
Gemelli already sits among the top of the Gold Coast’s best Italian restaurants ranks so, we suggest you’d best add this new hotspot to your 2016 dining wish list. Stat.
