St Kilda Burger Bar Opens

Hangover cures just got waaayyyy more exciting than a half eaten kebab and a Macaas drive through run, thanks to the launch of the St Kilda Burger Bar (STKBB) in the Grosvenor Hotel’s already-existing drive through bottle shop! Yep, say goodbye to watered down coke and flattened cheeseburgers for good; you’ll now be able to get your mitts on a whole stack of gourmet burgers and fries to go with your six pack or fave bottle of vino—and you can do it in your PJs too if you like! We won’t tell.

The STKBB will launch on June 15th with a range of tasty options, including 'The Plugger,' featuring double beef, bacon, sriracha mayonnaise and a hash brown, as well as the 'Mr Fun Guy', a hearty vegetarian option with roasted portobello mushroom and gruyere cheese—um, yum?! Regular Grosvenor patrons will also be excited to find the St Kilda pub’s classic burger ‘The Grosvenor,’ created by Head Chef Paul Tyes, also featured on the menu, showcasing his grandma’s very own ketchup recipe and a secret white sauce.

Keeping in line with the Hotel’s commitment to sourcing, ageing and preparing premium cuts of beef, all St Kilda Burger Bar beef burgers will be made from 100 per cent certified grass fed hand-pressed Angus beef and encased in Lievito milk buns, priced from just $12-$15 a pop. Trust us when we say these babies are good!

If your buck doesn’t stop with your burger, add some battered chips or a yummy dessert or craft beer and turn your burger fix into an epic combo meal! There’s even a family option featuring two regular burgers, two kids’ burgers, two salads, two chips AND two desserts—whoa! When it comes to dessert, we just can’t get enough of the 7 Apples gelato, but the STKBB special Spiked Ice Creams are definitely worth a try too! Espresso martini flavour anyone? OMG.

Feel like something other than a burger? STKBB also has an amazing Kransky available with American mustard and ridiculously delicious sauerkraut. There’s also a pretty neat Grosvenor Chiko Roll up for the taking too, as well as a side grain salad with feta, peas, mint and beetroot—nom.

The burger bar is the latest addition to the growing Grosvenor empire, which already consists of The Grosvenor Hotel, alongside the Grosvenor Grocery and Bottle Shop drive through store.

If you do one thing today, make sure it’s marking ‘treat yo’self at STKBB on June 15th’ in your smartphone calendar. In the meantime check out the website to work out your order. We’ll see you on the 15th!
