If there’s one thing we miss most about our old, pre-COVID lives, it’s ordering a killer cocktail. While we can easily whip up a homemade G&T or try our luck at a ‘Quarantini’, nothing beats the craftsmanship and deliciousness that comes from a mixologist-made cocktail.
But what if you, yes you at home, could learn from the very best and learn to level up your makeshift concoctions to masterfully-made cocktails? Well now you can, thanks to Simply Cocktails who will be launching their first ever ‘Home Five O’Clock-tails’ video tutorials and virtual mini masterclasses on their Facebook Page, this Friday 3 April at 5pm.
Guiding you through your first masterclass is Australia's Scotch Whiskey Brand Ambassador of the Year (2019), Mark Hickey, who will be teaching you how to shake up a Cointreau Fizz. Going down every Tuesday and Friday until 30 June, you can expect a line up bursting full mixology mavens teaching you how to make everything from a Tia Maria Espresso ‘Quarantini’ to as Chartreuse Green Chaud—we’re not quite sure what that is but we’re looking forward to finding out.
In the coming weeks, they'll be uploading tutorials from some of Perth's best bartenders including Lewis and Pippa Canavan and Murray Walsh from Mechanics Institue, Nathan Arias from Bar Lafayette, Charlotte MacMaster of Foxtrot Unicorn and Caballitos' own Jason Mooney, just to name a few.
