We’re scratching our heads because somehow it’s the end of March (and we’re still finding Mardi Gras glitter on our skin). Luckily we’ve found five awesome things to do in order to say ‘so long, farewell’ to yet another month in 2017.
This week in Sydney we’re all about cocktails, treasure hunting, artistic experimentation, dancing, and of course, food.
Creative Way Workshop
If you’re a free spirit or just looking to experiment, play, and create, dust off your apron and head to Bronte Monday night for some hands-on fun. Artist and teacher Melissa Carey is running a weekly workshop starting this Monday night for you to unleash your creativity (stick-drawing specialists: yes, this even means you). Book for an individual session or the entire four-week series, either way you’ll come out with some hand-made goods and a sparked creative mind.
What: Creative Way Workshop
Where: Birrell Street, Bronte
When: Monday 27 March from 6:30pm
Cost: from $130, tickets here
Food Choice Screening
If you’re looking for some motivation when it comes to changing your eating habits, this one’s for you. The Sydney Mechanics School of Arts is hosting a free screening of the powerful documentary, Food Choices. This film explores the impact our food choices have on our individual health, the health of the planet, and the health of other living species, as well as common misconceptions about dieting. And of course, sitting through a 90-minute film about food would be reallyyyyy hard without something to snack on, so the team behind this event are throwing in a free supper.
What: Film N’ Food Event, Food Choices
Where: Sydney Mechanics School of Arts, 280 Pitt Street, Sydney
When: Monday 27 March from 7:30pm
Cost: Free, tickets here

Check out their weekly dance classes every Tuesday and Wednesday and if you love it, book yourself a pass of ten, we’re sure you’ll be busting moves to make Beyoncé jealous.

Behold a spectacular evening of Jamaican jams and juicy cocktails—sound great doesn’t it? For two glorious hours you’ll sway to the sounds of live reggae acoustic from the likes of Bob Marley and the Wailers, as you sip on $12 Cool Rummings cocktails. When it comes to ordering we can’t go past the king tubby sliders and Rosie’s coco colada of pimento infused rum, pineapple, coco lopez, sugarcane, lime, and banana foam.
