Us Sydneysiders love new and shiny restaurants and bars. With so many new places popping up in our sparkling harbour city, we've rounded up 8 new Sydney restaurants and bars, for your drinking and dining pleasure.
CHISWICK At The Gallery | CBD
This is a new one for you! Opening this Saturday 25th October at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, CHISWICK At The Gallery is Matt Moran and Peter Sullivan's latest venture. Feed your creative soul at one of the gallery's exhibitions before feeding your hungry belly at this brand new Sydney restaurant.
Breadfern | Redfern
The gluten-free brother to Redfern's Tapeo, Breadfern is a bakery selling delicious treats like meat pies and cheesy pizza rolls, and sweet things like almond croissants and tarts, many of which are gluten-free and organic. As there are currently no seats available, we suggest you pick up a few bakery goods and take them over to Redfern Park to enjoy.
Bay Ten Espresso | Lavender Bay
A gorgeous little café located in a converted warehouse in Lavender Bay shares its home with The Body Mechanic, making this space a perfect stop off for those on bikes or those who just want a good coffee. Opening only a few weeks ago, the guys at Bay Ten Espresso already have a bit of a following as a result of the high quality, locally sourced food and friendly service.
Mama's Buoi | Surry Hills
Mama's Buoi opened only a couple of weeks ago, much to the joy of the locals and workers of Surry Hills. Inspired by the dishes his mother used to make, Tin Ly has developed a menu full of Vietnamese home-style dishes. With no freezer on site, everything is made fresh daily—so you know it's going to be good.
Cali Press | Bronte
Recently opening in Bronte, Cali Press provides 100% raw and organic cold pressed juice. With all sorts of healthy concoctions, a visit to Cali Press will leave you feeling like you've given your insides a big old hug. Juices come in two sizes, with the larger glass bottle getting you $1 off your next juice when you return the empty bottle. Nice!
Ippudo | Chippendale
Opening their second Sydney store in Central Park earlier this month, Ippudo is serving up their signature shiromaru and akamaru ramen to the noodle soup enthusiasts of Sydney. Slurp down a bowl of ramen and if you have any stomach real-estate left, order a side of pork buns—they're delicious! Read more about the opening of Ippudo here.
Fino Par | CBD
We say hola to Sydney's newest Spanish restaurant and bar. Located underneath the Vibe Hotel on the border of Surry Hills and the CBD, Fino Par specialises in sherry and authentic Spanish cuisine. Order some croquettes and a sliced meats board and get stuck into a glass of their barrel-aged sangria. ¡Salud! Read more about Fino Par here.
Lentil on the Rocks | Newtown
Opening this weekend above Lentil As Anything (the vegan restaurant in Newtown with a pay-as-you-feel policy), Lentil on the Rocks is Sydney's first mocktail bar. Offering the same philosophy as the restaurant, donate money based on your experience and financial ability. Sweet!
