It’s time to make like an Alibrandi and celebrate all the wonder that is the tomato. The Royal Botanic Garden is at it again bringing the Tomato Festival Sydney to our fair city this February.
What would our diet even be without tomatoes? What would happen to our beloved pizzas, favourite pastas, or the quintessential Aussie meat pie—without one, make that two, squirts of the good stuff? It quite simply doesn’t even bare to think about.
Get ready to stroll through the onsite produce markets, or take part in free activities like cooking demos, taste testing (we’ll be in on that), and tomato talks. There’s also the opening night degustation dinner and a 70-metre long tomato inspired lunch—we’re told this is the longest tomato lunch ever!
