In case you missed it, animal live streams are having a huge moment right now. From meditating in real-time with moon jellyfish, to watching eagles build their sky-high nests—there’s truly never been a better time to dive down this deep internet-hole.
We got pretty excited when Melbourne Zoo announced that it was kicking off 24-hour live streams and now, Sydney’s WILD LIFE Zoo is jumping on the animal kingdom live-stream bandwagon.
Because of government restrictions put in place to curb the spread of COVID-19, the zoo is understandably closed to the public but for the keepers and animals, it’s still business as usual.
To keep the excitement alive and help you out of that afternoon slump, WILD LIFE Zoo will be launching the zoo’s first-ever Facebook live-stream of Rocky the saltwater crocodile’s arvo feed, which happens at 2.30pm every day. This guy is a casual six-metres long and weighs up to 1200 kilograms. As for what's on the menu—well, you'll have to tune in to find out, but let's just assume you might need a strong stomach to watch this one.
The keepers will also be there to tell you all about Rocky’s story and answer all your curly croc questions as well.
