Fire Up The Group Chat, You Can Drink Rosé All Day At This Must-Attend Perth Event

A gin parlour, frosé lounge and rosé garden bar are all coming to Perth this spring, so it’s time to fire up the group chat.

‘Where?’ we hear you ask. It’s all going down at Ascot Racing Carnival which kicks off on 20 October.

But that’s not all that’s new to Ascot this year, there’s also going to be a Pimms cocktail van, the completely revamped Mumm Champagne Garden and Balloon Bar and a stunning flower wall so you can capture plenty of #InstagramGold. Plus, the gourmet picnics will be back.

Here’s the rundown on just a few of the events you need to hit up this year.

Opening Day—20 October

Kick off racing season in style at Crown Perth Opening Day on 20 October where the Mumm champagne will be flowing all day long. Take out the Myer Fashions on the Field comp and you’ll be in with a chance to score a ten-day all expenses paid trip to Flemington or snap your best ‘Mumm Moment’ on Instagram and you could win a trip to Melbourne for Victoria Derby Day. If you’re afraid to walk the catwalk, never fear, this year the Fashions on the Field competition takes a different format. All you have to do is have your photo taken and it’ll be sent to a national judging panel. No need for liquid courage for that one!

Derby Day—3 November

Boss won’t let you off for Melbourne Cup? How rude! Thankfully Perth Racing has your back with TABtouch Derby Day so you can get your fix of frocks, fascinators and fun on the weekend instead. Dress to impress in black and white and get amongst the Tipple precinct’s exclusive marquees, private villas and sit down luncheons. Then grab your champagne and get ready for the amazing after party with the sensational sounds of Martini Club.

Melbourne Cup—6 November

If you’re doing TABtouch Melbourne Cup this year, Ascot is the place to be (and be seen). Tipple will be back in action and there’ll be plenty of prizes up for grabs, as well as a huge after party kicking off from 5pm. You’ll definitely want to make a beeline for the brand new Flametree Garden where you’ll find live bands, comfy bean bags, pop up cocktail bars and food trucks. And of course you can catch all the action from the main race at Flemington on the ginormous digital screen.

Champion Fillies Day—17 November

Fillies on the Deck is the party to hit up during Champion Fillies Day this year. There will be an all day grazing style menu, primo bevvie packages and great entertainment, obvs. And it’s all about the ladies, as per usual.
