A Bangkok hotel is leading environmental change and is set to become home to the first new hotel in Asia to be free of single-use plastics. Hooray!

Guests of akyra TAS Sukhumvit Bangkok will be presented with reusable stainless steel bottles to refill at the hotel’s self-service drinking stations which just happen to be located on every single floor. They’re thoughtful like that. In the hotel’s fifty rooms, bathroom amenities will be presented in locally-made pottery, and bins will be lined with biodegradable bin bags, too. Plus, they’ll supply reusable shopping bags to use during your retail therapy sessions in and around Bangkok because they’ve literally thought of everything.

It’s all part of the hotel’s eco-lead philosophy, where business operations and environmental conscience go hand-in-hand. akyra TAS Sukhumvit Bangkok is set to open in May (just in time for a cheeky trip to escape our colder winter months), so book in that annual leave, stat!

Head here to book your stay or just to geek out on all the sustainability goodness.
