7 Reasons We’re Itching For Hibernian Place To Open

By Tina Varghese - 12 Apr 2018

Perth is about to get a shiny new marketplace and we’re talking luxury with a capital L. Home to the brand new Westin Perth, Hibernian Place has an upscale public space complete with a stunning rooftop garden, manicured lawns, modern eateries, and planty of outdoor spaces, all meticulously designed to give you take you a sumptuous experience right from the break of dawn and well into the night. We’ve done some digging and found some promising new places likely to make this place Perth’s newest nirvana.

Here are 7 reasons we can't wait for Hibernian Place to open on 27 April.

A luxe rooftop bar and supper club, Hadiqa is the latest feather in hospitality mogul Andy Freeman’s pretty impressive cap. Inspired by the flavours and features of the Middle East, Hadiqa will be your whimsical Arabian oasis in the busy streets of Perth. If you’re looking to de-stress after a long day, sit back and enjoy one of their crushed ice cocktails with dehydrated rose petals, elegantly served in gold-rimmed Moroccan tea glasses, because you deserve nothing less.

Offshoot Roastery

With four Perth locations under their belt, anyone would think the Mary Street Bakery crew would be ready to take a break, but that’s just not their style. They’ll be opening Offshoot Roastery in Hibernian Place where you’ll be able to watch the roasting process while you wait for your cup of joe. They'll also be serving up the sweet treats and sangas you know and love from Mary Street.

The mastermind behind the amazing Cafe Grossi and Grossi Florentino in Melbourne, Chef Guy Grossi is all set to grace Perth with his latest offering, Garum. Given Grossi’s fine-dining credentials, expect Garum to be nothing less than an epicurean marriage of Italian dishes inspired by the beautiful Lazio region and the best of local WA produce.

Arthur & Co

Graham Arthur has already swept Perth off its feet with his culinary projects like BalthazarGordon Street GarageIl Lido and more; and now he’s set his sights on Hibernian Place with all day eatery, Arthur and Company. Think modern Australian cuisine, an elegant dining space, and a sprinkle of Graham Arthur magic, and you have the perfect Perth experience among the shining city lights.

The peeps from Melbourne can’t claim this for themselves anymore, because team Perth is all set to take a big bite of Huxtaburger and their crazy good burgers. Expect juicy beef burgers, sweet bread buns, and some epic fries. You can even get some bangin’ veggie and GF options.

Bodhi J

Perth's favourite day spa, Bodhi J will be opening inside the brand new Westin Perth and it's going to be more luxurious than you can even imagine! With a steam room, six treatment rooms (including one double room) and an outdoor terrace on the fifth floor—read: epic views of Perth and the Swan River—this is one place you'll have no trouble relaxing in.

Westin Perth

Last but certainly not least, the brand new Westin Perth has got us all sorts of excited! With 368 seriously luxe rooms—inlcuding over 20 suites and one Presidential Suite for the ballers out there—a rooftop infinity pool and a state of the art gym, this five star hotel is the perfect spot for a little staycay. Up your vitamin intake with a fresh juice at The Juicery or settle in for high tea or a cocktail at the lobby bar, Haven Lounge.

Until then, check out these new openings in Perth.
