Have you ever wanted to travel back in time and take in the sounds of a Shakespeare play in the original Globe Theatre? That’s a really specific thing to want to do, but now you’re going to get your chance to do just that.
Back in October—marking the 403rd year since Shakespeare’s death—a full-scale replica of the second Globe Theatre was built at Crown Perth.
Over a period of 6 weeks, the three-storey, 900-person theatre has been putting on Shakespeare classics such as Hamlet, A Midsummer Night's Dream and Twelfth Night—think epic battles, laugh-out-loud comedy, special effects, elaborate costumes, spectacular dances, and sword fights in full suits of armour. (And litres of blood...)
Due to its popularity, they've decided to extend the theatre's stay until 8 December; so if you've been mulling it over, now's the time to grab tickets.
