Carriageworks just dropped its WILD night market line-up and cue the food coma. Curated by James Viles of Biota, this mammoth event is all about wild, seasonal and sustainable ingredients.
On the lineup is a huge pool of chefs, distillers, farmers and producers from places like LP’s Quality Meats, Hartsyard, Anason, Automata, Rising Sun Workshop and Efendy. As for what’s on, expect a whole lot of schooling from Oakridge chef Matt Stone in leaf foraging, Three Blue Ducks legend Mark Labrooy in salami making and a knife forging demonstration with Karim and Leila Haddad from Tharwa Valley Forge.
On the foodie side of things, brace yourself for Bloodwood’s sticky pork ribs (with BBQ butternut and burnt butter), The Pine’s wild gelato flavours like River Mint and lemon myrtle-crumbled freshwater Barramundi tacos from Chula.
