Keep your eyes and ears peeled Sydney, big things are happening at 414 Bourke Street and we mean the kind of thing you’ll want to be all over.
Word on the street is that the previous Aussie bistro, 4Fourteen, led by Colin Fassnidge will be turned into what’s been dubbed an “un-authentic” Indian gem. This space will b ruled by Jessi Singh, the juggernaut talent behind Babuji in New York, Bibiji in Santa Barbara and Horn Please in Melbs. And if you know anything about the world, you’d know that all these epic Indian eateries that don’t just plate up a solid feed but an atmosphere to boot.
The new Sydney digs will be known as Don’t Tell Your Aunty, which is all fine and good except that we will tell our Aunty (and everyone else for that matter) because if Singh’s other restaurants are anything to go by, it will be friggin’ awesome.
This Surry Hills gem will be about good times, cheeky feeds, playful gin and a mezcal-centric cocktail list so it’s fair to say our bodies are more than ready for this. Don’t Tell Aunty is set to open in October so until then, we’re just going to keep dreaming of all the Indian nosh to come.
Since you're here, did you know that a tea festival is about to drop in Sydney?
