Jenolan Caves, located past the Blue Mountains, is a biggie on any day-trip lover’s bucket list, so news of upcoming upgrades and new walking tracks is more than welcome.
This area is already jam-packed with bush walks, wildlife and ancient caves but now, the NSW Government is heading up a solid $8.5 million to fund three key projects which will ultimately give you better access to insane lookouts and lakes around the area.
The upgrade will mean an infrastructure overhaul over the Blue Lake area, creating a Binoomea track and Inspiration Point lookout and building up the Jenolan Caves gateway centre. This visitors centre will host plenty of information about the history of the caves, while the new walking track will mean you’ll be able to get even closer to the lake.
Work began last December and is predicted to be finished by December 2021 so stay tuned for updates.
