Sydney Gets A Wine Festival… On The Beach

Mudgee food and wine festival Sydney

Wine plus beach is the ultimate Sunday combination and next weekend, the Mudgee wine region is delivering exactly that and moving into Balmoral Beach for the day. This glorious day is just a taster of their much larger wine and food festival happening among the Mudgee vines throughout September, but that doesn’t mean that the pop-up won’t satisfy all of your wine needs.

This is your opportunity to meet the growers behind some of Australia’s best regional food and wines, produced in the Mudgee region. Among the exhibiting wineries are Huntington Estate, Robert Stein Vineyard and Gooree Park Wines.

It isn’t all wine tastings and finger foods though, because there will be live music from midday and a whole bunch of cuddly animals for the kids (or you) to hang out with. Yep, the Animal Farm is making a comeback with goats, sheep, lambs, chicks, ducklings and rabbits all vying for your love and pats. Is it bad that we’re just as excited for the animals as we are for the wine?

Because they really do care about you and since Balmoral can be a bit tricky (read: nightmare) to get to, there will be free shuttles running between Balmoral Beach and Military and Spit Road throughout the afternoon. You’re welcome.
