The Sydney Tea Festival is back at Carriageworks and there is so matcha that we need to talk about. Who’s excited? You and the group chat, that’s who.
For its fifth year, festival-goers can expect to die and go to tea heaven with over 70 stalls and a heap of tea-riffic event additions (excessive use of tea puns absolutely and undeniably intended). We’re talking DIY tea blending, masterclasses, tea wines, cocktails and a tea pairing dinner and can confirm we’re at our peak adulting lives.
Okay, let’s have a serious talk about this tea-wine situation. The Rabbit Hole Organic Tea Bar and a South Australian winery are launching four different blends of the first ever tea wine for y’all to taste before they release the final product range in 2019. Yep, that’s two of our fave things combined and LBH, we’re pretty damn pumped.
Whether you’re sipping back at The Tasting Table, an area where tea enthusiasts like yourself can partake in small group masterclasses with tea purveyors, or you’re mixing up flowers, fruits and spices at the DIY Tea Blending Station, this event is most probably going to be your cup of tea. There’s also the option to be fancy AF at Automota in Chippendale where there are seasonal dishes being matched with rare, unique teas from all parts of the world.
To top it all off, rumour has it that there’s tea flavoured soft serve, tea pairing at the Artisan Cheese Room and tea cocktails by Archie Rose Distilling Co., just in case you needed more reason to get this par-tea started.
Thanks to the tea gods for brewing up the ultimate tea-lover’s dream. For more info, head here.
