Everything You Need To Know About The Next Raf Simons X Adidas Originals Collab

The Raf Simons x adidas Originals team up is a collaborative force we’ve come to love, and this latest drop isn’t going to disappoint.

Each silhouette uses the French painting style, Trompe l’oeil, to reimagine the Stan Smith as one of the three archived sneakers. Giving a 3-D effect, old photos of the sneakers are superimposed on the upper, creating an optical illusion. The iconic Stan Smith branding remains, as does the perforated “R”.

Colourways have been kept OG and the detailing is, of course, top notch; cracked soles, exposed glue and deliberate stains. 

Previewed at Paris Fashion Week, the collection is titled “Trompe L’oeil” which loosely translates to “deceive the eye”. With three interpretations of the Stan Smith silhouette, design cues have been taken from Torsion Conquest Super, LA trainer and Micropacer.

The pre-launch is available exclusively at Tom Greyhound in Paris, but the wider release is expected in April.
